Vanessa Rome from Manhattan to Hamptons Designs Modern Luxury Homes
New York based Vanessa Rome an award winning interior designer, entrepreneur show us her passion for design. Vanessa owns an outstanding interior design studio based in Manhattan delivering bespoke, timeless and classic designs to her clients. Vanessa graduated from New York University with a BA and a Masters and it was from here that she went on to start her career within the film industry in Los Angeles. Being surrounded by film sets and set designers is where her interest for interior design started to turn into a passion. Vanessa would browse through independent stores and flea markets on the hunt for interesting homeware pieces and furniture which could bring a space to life and set the scene. Whilst building a summer home in Sag Harbor, Vanessa experienced some difficulty with builders and contractors being able to finish the build of her family property. This is when Vanessa took hold of the reins, learnt the ins and outs of design and building and completed her dream home in time for the summer season. Vanessa was able to understand not only how to create a layout, design rooms and utilize space but also how important it is to have a close relationship with the designer and a client. This is when she decided to start her very own interior design studio. Ashley is part of the third generation within the family business and joined the company in 2004. She is now Creative Director and offers a fresh, new energy to the business.
